The Schedule for PTET 2012. Rajasthan Pre Teachers Entrance Test(PTET) Examination 2012 for admission to B.Ed. Course, Session 2012-13: For admission to B.Ed. Course in various Teacher Training Institutions in the State of Rajasthan, a competitive test for selection of candidates viz., Pre-Teacher Education Test (PTET) will be conducted by Jai Narain Vyas University, Jodhpur in the entire state on 21 April 2012 with More than 2 lakh students had appeared for Jai Narain Vyas University (JNVU) Pre-Teacher Education Test (PTET) 2012.
Eligibility for PTET Exam :-
Candidates, who wish to appear in the entrance exam, should be graduates or post graduates from Jai Narain Vyas University or any other University considered equivalent to it, securing at least 45% marks (40% for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes) in aggregate. Those appearing in final year examination of the qualifying exam, that is, B.A./B.Com./B.Sc./Shastri or M.A./M.Com./M.Sc./Acharya may also apply. The candidates should fulfill other requirements as laid down by the university, to be eligible for the entrance test. In addition to this, they should have completed 17 years of age on or before 31st December in the same year before admission.
About Rajasthan PTET: Rajasthan PTET is conducted for admission to B Ed (Bachelor of Education) program offered in various teacher training institutions in the state of Rajasthan. PTET is usually conducted in May/June. The exam is conducted jointly by Maharishi Dayanand University, Jodhpur, and Jai Narayan Vyas University, Jodhpur. Exam Pattern: There is no prescribed syllabus for PTET. The Examination will consist of one paper with four Sections: 1. Mental Abilty 2. Teaching Attitude/ Aptitude Test 3. General Awarenes 4. Language Proficiency (Hindi/English)
1. Section A- Mental ability – This section shall have 50 objective type multiple choice questions to test (i) Reasoning (ii) Imagination,(iii) Judgement/Decision Making (iv)Creative Thinking (v) Genralisation, (vi) Drawing Inferences.
2. Section B – Teaching Attitude / Aptitude This Section shall have 50 questions on (i) Social Maturity (ii) Leadership (iii) Professional Commitment, (iv) Interpersonal Relations, (v) Communication, (vi) Awareness etc. This will be test of attitudes & awareness in which answers to question will be scored on a scale of 3, 2, 0 & -1.
3. Section C- General awareness This Section shall have 50 Objective type multiple choice questions on (i) Current afair (National/ International), (ii) Indian History / Culture, (iii) India & its natural resources, (iv) Great Indian personalities (Past / Present) (v) Environmental awareness (vi) Knowledge about Rajasthan etc.
4. Section D- Language Proficiency (English or Hindi) This section shall have 50 Objective type multiple choice questions regarding proficiency in Hindi or English Language related to (i) Vocabulary, (ii) Functional Grammar, (iii) Sentence structures, (iv) Comprehension etc.
